AMS thanks Brother Tony Clark at “Friends of AMS Melbourne” gathering where Timor Leste was the feature of the evening.
The “Friends of AMS Melbourne” hosted a buffet dinner for some significant supporters of our Timor Leste projects and to thank our in-country projects’ co-ordinator for the past 8 years’ work. Br Tony Clark has been carrying out this role working with local partners to give them the capacity to design and manage AMS projects. Tony now leaves Timor Leste and will take up another offshore work later in 2017.
The AMS team presented Tony with a framed certificate of appreciation and some gifts for his future travel.
In remarking on Tony’s contribution to the mission of Australian marist Solidarity, CEO Br Allen Sherry remarked: “Unlike the cultures of Asia we in Australia tend to understate gratitude! But tonight not so. At recent AMS team meeting people wanted a special moment to thank you Br Tony for your generous in country support of our mission in Timor Leste with countless projects you managed so effectively for us over your time there.”
In the words of the Timorese people: “Obrigado barak Irmao Tony”
