Operation Rainbow, a Marcellin Trust project, provides home visits, free medical seminars, counselling and HIV awareness courses to families and children affected by HIV.
Operation Rainbow undertakes many programs in the support of families and children affected by HIV. The latest Rainbow Health Care medical seminar was held on the 14th of October with Mr. Paul Ramesh (Natural food researcher) talking about the issues of daily diet as well as providing some exercises to do each day at home. Mr. Narayananan (Vice President) from Omaga Health Care management Services also spoke about the importance of time management in taking care of health. The students and staff from St. Patrick’s College were special guests at the seminar.
The LaValla Evening Study Centre’s are also back in full swing providing 368 children attending the classes every day in 13 centres, guided by 15 teachers. Many of these students recently undertook a workshop titled “who decides our life” which focused on self-awareness and child rights, a key concern for Operation Rainbow and wider Marists.
The Operation Rainbow project has seen steady growth in the care and support they have been able to offer and provide the local community year on year largely thanks to AMS donors and partners. For more information on the project or to donate, visit: https://bit.ly/2OT9wmw
