Supporting Village physiotherapy in Timor-Leste for young people with a disability.
In Timor-Leste, AMS partners with a local initiative focused in the Baucau District where the Marists have a strong presence. KATILOSA is a small registered East Timorese non-government organisation that provides essential services to young people with a disability by visiting the remote villages on motorbikes to train families in basic physiotherapy techniques. KATILOSA also facilitates an inclusive education program insuring education for many of these children who would be excluded from schooling.
Facts about the program
Thanks to the generosity of our Australian donors we have assisted the community of KATILOSA in Baucau, Timor-Leste who will continue to provide their crucial services to young people with a disability. AMS is committed to supporting these types of programs because they are crucial to improving community capacity in developing countries through Asia and the Pacific Islands.
