Last Saturday several of the senior boarders at Marist College Ashgrove took on traffic control at the main college roundabout for all incoming traffic to Saturday cricket games. It was for a good cause and posters indicated they were supporting Asian Marist projects through a carwash. There were several cars diverted to the washing area co-ordinated by Year 12 Boarding Co-ordinator, Mr James Cooper. The CEO of Australian Marist Solidarity, Br Allen Sherry, thanked the boys when visiting and remarked this was “ strongly supportive of our AMS national schools’ campaign”.
The major project being supported nationally is the first Marist school in Bangladesh which is catering to the children of the teagardens.
