Wednesday the 2nd of August saw local and international dignitaries as well as Marist Brothers come together at Marist Solidarity Cambodia (MSC) LaValla School for the year 6 graduation
Marist Solidarity Cambodia (MSC) LaValla School offers an accelerated primary education to Cambodian students with a physical disability. With a growing reputation, students travel from across the country to be a part of this program with many having never attended school before. A commonality at the school is that many teachers and staff are graduates but also suffer from a physical disability providing role models to the students.
On Wednesday the 2nd of August the Takhmao community gathered to recognise and congratulate the latest class of year 6 students to graduate from the school. The ceremony was presided over by Lok Chumteav NHEM MOROKOT, Undersecretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Women’s Affairs and a Development Assistance Committee (DAC) Member.
Many of these students will move into Villa Maria and eventually the Community Village as they continue their secondary studies or vocational and technical training. These facilities are vital to students with a physical disability providing accommodation and assisted living services whilst they continue their education.
