Australian Marist Solidarity (AMS) is pleased to announce a joint venture with Wild Timor Coffee whereby a percentage of sales of their product will be donated to AMS for distribution to various Timor-Leste projects that we partner with.
Wild Timor Coffee was established by former Australian soldiers who were sent as part of a peace keeping force to help with the stabilisation of Timor-Leste and stumbled upon a coffee plantation that was originally planted by the Portuguese some 200 years ago. Since then, the retired soldiers have established the social enterprise Wild Timor Coffee in partnership with local Timorese farmers to create their coffee.
Initially, Victorian Schools will be able to log into the Wild Timor Coffee website and arrange an order based on your location. The website is www.wildtimorcoffee.com . For more information contact AMS Ambassador Brother Frank McIntosh.
In order to streamline the process, your school can nominate a point of contact to order and collect at either the factory outlet in Collingwood, or at Marist House Fitzroy. To assist with sales, packaging and collection, Wild Timor Coffee intend to leave sales open for the first 15 days of each month, and collection would occur in the last week of the month.
