Small coins might not seem like much, but when many people give, those coins can help children and families around Asia and the Pacific. Watch our video Marist Solidarity…because young people matter (http://bit.ly/1B8BUCk) to see the impact that change had on a community.
Just how powerful is the small coins dropped into a Pocket Change Box?
Coins from one full Pocket Change Box…
- Could give families in Marist projects, many of whom live below the poverty line, with the resources they need to support their children’s education for a year.
- Could provide educational resources and materials to the less resources Marist and Diocesan schools across Asia and the Pacific Islands.
- Could bring access to health care directly to children near their home and school.
Australian Marist Solidarity focuses on providing quality education to vulnerable young people across Asia and the Pacific. Our four core areas are formal education, non-formal education, vocational and technical training and community development.
Help us continue this vital work and consider getting your school involved by hosting. They fit neatly on the reception desk of any counter and can also be used as a collection box during functions. Best of all, they are re-usable and so all we ask is a point of contact to communicate with once a quarter for reconcilation purposes.
The AMS Pocket Change Box program is our largest on-going community fundraiser throughout the year outside our annual schools campaign.
